Your documents,indexed and citable.

Upload or sync legal documents once. OCR, summaries, and semantic indexing run on ingest — then every session can retrieve and cite them.

The libraryturns your firm's files into retrievable context. Upload a contract, brief, or precedent once — or connect the drive it already lives in — and the agent can cite it in any later research or drafting session, naming the file and section it drew from.

How it works

How the library gets built

  1. 01

    Upload or sync your documents

Add PDFs, DOCX, TXT, or image files directly — or connect Google Drive, Outlook, SharePoint, or OneDrive and let 8rney keep them current.

  2. 02

    Automatic extraction and OCR

Text is extracted from readable files. For scanned PDFs, image-based documents, and handwritten pages, OCR runs as a fallback with no manual step.

  3. 03

    Auto-generated summaries for triage

Each document gets a plain-language summary on upload, so you can see what a file contains without opening and reading the whole thing.

  4. 04

Retrieved as context, with the source named

When research or Canvas needs grounding, the index returns the most relevant passages — and the answer says which file and section it came from.

Questions

Library FAQ

What is document intelligence for legal teams?

Extracting, processing, and indexing legal documents so an agent can retrieve specific passages as grounded context. Upload a contract, brief, or precedent once, and it can be cited in any future research or drafting session.

What file types does the library support?

PDF, DOCX, TXT, PNG, and JPG. For scanned or image-based PDFs where text extraction fails, OCR fallback runs automatically to recover readable content.

Are Google Drive and SharePoint supported?

Yes. Connect Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Dropbox, or Gmail. Synced files go through the same extraction, OCR, and indexing pipeline as direct uploads.

How are summaries generated?

After extraction the agent reads each document and writes a plain-language summary covering the document type, key provisions, parties, dates, and notable clauses. Summaries appear in the library list.

Are library documents used in research and canvas?

Yes. They are available as context across the whole workspace, and the agent shows which file and section it drew from.
