About research
- How do I know it did not invent the case?
- Because you open it. Every material claim resolves to a source with a link, and the passage the claim rests on is identified. Claims the system cannot support are reported as thin rather than presented as settled.
- Can it search my documents and public law together?
- Yes, in the same pass. A matter's indexed documents are retrieved alongside statutes and judgments, and the answer names which is which.
- What does the jurisdiction setting actually change?
- Which indexes are searched, which citation conventions apply, and what the run assumes about the shape of the law. The global default deliberately assumes no jurisdiction rather than quietly defaulting to one.
- How deep is a deep run?
- Deeper reading before it writes: more queries, more sources qualified, and more of the evidence carried into the answer. It costs time, so it is a choice per run rather than a global setting.
- Can I use my Westlaw subscription?
- For Westlaw Asia, yes. A browser extension lets the agent operate a tab you have already signed into, so passwords, cookies, and two-factor codes stay in your browser.
- Does research remember what I asked before?
- Inside a matter, yes. The prior threads, documents, and decisions stay in context, so a follow-up does not start from an empty page.
